‘Baldwin Hills’ star Gerren Taylor dead at 30

Ashley Taylor Gerren, star of BET show “Baldwin Hills,” has passed away. The 30-year-old died in her sleep at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Essence reported. The LA native was professionally known as Gerren Taylor.
Her cause of death is as yet unknown, however, Essence reported that it may have been related to the reality TV show star’s battle with the autoimmune disease lupus as she was reportedly on dialysis at the time of her death. “Just got the worst news,” Ray Cunningham of VH1’s “Love and Hip-Hop” wrote on Twitter of his friend’s passing. “RIP to my @BET fam, my babes Gerren (Baldwin Hills).”
