The 74th British Academy Film Awards is being held over two nights for the first time. The opening night ceremony was held virtually from London's Royal Albert Hall on April 10. Hosted by radio and TV presenter Clara Amfo, the event started with a tribute to Prince Philip, who died at the age of 99 on April 9. BAFTA handed out eight awards on its opening night, primarily in the craft categories such costume, production design, sound, special visual effects and more. The winners in rest of the categories will be announced on April 11. Prince William was supposed to make a special appearance in a pre-recorded interview and make a speech via video during the ceremony, but BAFTA has confirmed that he won’t be doing so following the death of his grandfather Prince Philip.More Related News
