Badhaai Do Box Office Collection Day 2: Rajkummar, Bhumi-starrer picks up pace during weekend

Badhaai Do has received mixed reviews. The film, starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar released on February 11.
Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao's latest offering, Badhaai Do opened to a lukewarm response at the box office. After the third wave of coronavirus, the opening of the show was rather slow. However, it looks like the weekend may be promising for the film, as on Saturday the numbers went up by 60/70 %. Badhaai Do tells the story of a gay man, Shardul (Rajkummar Rao) and a lesbian woman, Sumi (Bhumi Pednekar) who get into a marriage of convenience to avoid society's pressure.
Badhaai Do's box office collection went up by 60 per cent as compared to Friday. With Valentine's day ahead, the film may do better at the box office. According to Box Office India, the film's best growth was seen in Delhi NCR. According to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 2.75 to 3 crores, taking the two-day total to Rs. 4.50 crore plus. The film was released in select theatres on February 11.
Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao-starrer Badhaai Do grossed Rs 1.65 crore in India business on Day 1 of its release. Multiplexes in Mumbai and Delhi-NCR contributed much more to the total numbers compared to Tier 2 or Tier 3 cities.
The film is a comedy-drama and tries to portray the struggle the protagonists face in a marriage of convenience.
