Bachchhan Paandey box office collection Day 5: Akshay Kumar film fails to pick up pace

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey has opened to positive reviews, but the film is struggling at the box office. Released on March 18, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon. The action-comedy film has been directed by Farhad Samji. The film is facing tough competition from The Kashmir Files.

Bachchhan Paandey saw a huge dip in numbers on Monday. However, Tuesday was slightly better. According to Box Office India, the film has collected Rs 3.25 crore on Tuesday, taking the total to Rs 47 crore.

On the other hand, The Kashmir Files is soon reaching the Rs 200 crore mark.

Bachchhan Paandey is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and written by Nischay Kuttanda and director Farhad Samji. Besides Akshay, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, the film also features Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Abhimanyu Singh, Snehal Daabbi and Saharsh Kumar Shukla. Bachchhan Paandey was earlier set to premiere on December 25, 2020. However, the release date was pushed and Farhad Samji’s directorial will now release theatrically on March 18, 2022. The story revolves around an aspiring director (Kriti) who wants to make a film on a deadly gangster (Akshay).
