Bachchhan Paandey box office collection Day 4: Akshay Kumar starrer sees huge dip on Monday

Akshay Kumar's Bachchhan Paandey is facing stiff competition from The Kashmir Files. The film is going cold at the box office.
Bachchhan Paandey has opened to positive reviews. However, the film is not managing to do great business at the box office. The Akshay Kumar-starrer film's collections took a huge dip on Monday. Also starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, Bachchhan Paandey is an action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji.
The film is facing stiff competition from Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files, which has been doing phenomenal business at the box office.
According to a report by Box Office India, Bachchhan Paandey's collection has dipped since its release on Friday, March 18. While on the opening day, the film earned a whopping Rs 13 crore, the numbers slipped during the weekend.
On the first Monday, the collections saw a fall by 65-70%. The film earned an approx Rs 4 crore on the first Monday.
The film is facing stiff competition from The Kashmir Files, which has collected Rs 182 crores in two weeks.
Bachchhan Paandey is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and written by Nischay Kuttanda and director Farhad Samji. Besides Akshay, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon, the film also features Arshad Warsi, Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Abhimanyu Singh, Snehal Daabbi and Saharsh Kumar Shukla. Bachchhan Paandey was earlier set to premiere on December 25, 2020. However, the release date was pushed and Farhad Samji’s directorial will now release theatrically on March 18, 2022. The story revolves around an aspiring director (Kriti) who wants to make a film on a deadly gangster (Akshay).
