An eight-month old baby in life-threatening condition is among four people injured in a Scarborough house fire on Saturday, Toronto police and paramedics say.
Police were called to the house near Finch Avenue and Brimley Road around 11:10 a.m, according to a post on X, formerly Twitter. The fire is now out.
Toronto Paramedics said they transported four patients in all to a local hospital.
A four-year-old suffered smoke inhalation and a man was found with serious injuries, police said.
Paramedics said one of the four patients is in life-threatening condition, but they would not give further details because they said it is a police matter.
Another patient has serious, non-life threatening injuries, and two more have minor injuries, they said.

Since the launch of Nova Scotia's school lunch program last September, the Education Department has received hundreds of submissions from parents raising concerns about things such as food quality and safety, what ingredients are used in the dishes and whether the meal options cater to specific diets.
