Baby born with two heads, three hands in MP's Ratlam

A woman in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam gave birth to a baby with two heads and three hands. The infant has been referred to a hospital in Indore for better care.
A woman gave birth to a child with two heads and three hands, in the Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh. The child has been referred to Indore.
Shaheen, a resident of Javra, has given birth to a child with two heads and three hands. The third hand is towards the back between the two faces. The child was kept in Ratlam's SNCU for some time and from there the baby was referred to MY Hospital, Indore.
In sonography, this baby looked like a twin. SNCU in charge Dr Naved Qureshi said that the condition of the child is critical. In such a case, many children either die in the womb or within 48 hours of birth. Although there is an option for surgery in such cases. However, 60 to 70 per cent of such children do not survive.
At present, the child has been admitted to the ICU of MY Hospital, Indore, while the mother has been kept in Ratlam hospital. The child is under the supervision of doctors.
