Babul Supriyo accuses 'BJP mob' of pelting stones at him in Tripura, calls it party of backstabbers

Babul Supriyo took to Twitter to allege that a 'mob' of BJP workers pelted stones at him in Tripura's capital city on Saturday.

Trinamool Congress's new recruit Babul Supriyo today accused a "violent BJP mob" of pelting stones at him in Tripura capital Agartala and alleged that the party resorts to "filth in Tripura".

Supriyo's attack on his former party comes amid peaking political tension in the northeastern state over the past several weeks. Supriyo added that the "cowards" fled when he tried to confront the alleged attackers.
