Babar Azam's 158 in vain as James Vince's 102 leads England to 3-wicket win over Pakistan in 3rd ODI
India Today
Babar Azam made the highest ODI score of all-time by a Pakistani against England but James Vince and Lewis Gregory dominated an extraordinary chase that helped England seal a 3-0 series win.
James Vince's 102 off 95 balls, coupled with Lewis Gregory's 77 off 69 and opener Phil Salt's quickfire 37 off 22 helped England beat Pakistan by three wickets in the third ODI and seal a 3-0 series win at Edgbaston. Pakistan captain Babar Azam fired the visitors to 331/9 with a career-best score of 158 off 139 balls, which is also the highest score by any Pakistani player against England in ODI cricket. England started the chase in a ballistic fashion with Salt hitting four fours in the opening over off Shaheen Afridi. His partner Dawid Malan was dismissed in the next over by Hasan Ali but Salt continued in the same fashion, hitting a four in almost every over except the sixth before falling to Haris Rauf in the seventh.More Related News
