DOHA: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Head of the Qatari Hajj Mission H E Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanim was briefed on the latest preparations made by all units and committees to serve the pilgrims of the State of Qatar.
This came during the meeting His Excellency held with officials of the mission and heads of the supporting service and technical units to follow up on the latest preparations and creation of all the appropriate conditions, especially in the holy sites, namely Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah so as to help pilgrims perform the Hajj pilgrimage prescribed rites this year more expeditiously, in accordance with a system that combines all efforts of the units.
He listened to a detailed explanation of the works accomplished by each unit based on the determined plans, in addition to following up on all preparations at the pilgrims’ camps in the holy sites, including the distribution of camps to the Qatari campaigns in Mina and Arafat, as well as follow up on the new preparations made by the mission in the holy sites for the first time in this pilgrimage season.
The preparations are being overseen by the deputy head of the mission Ali bin Sultan Al Musayfri, alongside members of the advisory committee to serve all pilgrims of Qatar, in collaboration between the holy sites service unit and Ithraa Group For Pilgrims Services.
The Minister was assured of the successive arrival of the regiments of pilgrims in the holy sites through the 19 Qatari campaigns to ensure that they are received well, in addition to providing all support by the coordination and follow up unit and airport, finalizing pilgrims’ procedures after their arrival at the airport, streamlining luggage scanning procedures in a short period of time, and overseeing their movements to the residential compounds in Makkah Al Mukaramah more expeditiously.
