Many special vaccination camps, awareness campaigns and programmes related to the Covid-19 vaccination drive helped India administer over 2.5 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses in a day, sources said.
India administered over 2.5 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses on Friday, giving a major push to the inoculation drive on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 71st birthday. This is the first time that more than two crore jabs have been administered in a single day.
Due to special vaccination camps, awareness campaigns and many programmes carried out in the rural areas, the country was able to achieve the milestone to administer more than two crore jabs in a single day, BJP sources told India Today.
