A 42-year-old labourer from Uttar Pradesh who came to Mumbai to earn his livelihood has pleaded guilty to a sexual offence against a minor girl. Premranjan Kumar alias Raghuvir Prasad Keshavprasad Gupta, who used to live in the Chandivali area of the city in 2018, was booked by Sakinaka police under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The case against Premranjan was that on November 25, 2018, a 9-year-old girl had gone out to play in the Savitribai Phule Garden situated beside Sinhgad College in Chandiwali around 8.30 pm. After playing for some time when she went near the tap to drink water, a person came close to her and assaulted her by touching her private parts. The 9-year-old informed her mother and immediately the FIR was lodged at Sakinaka Police Station. Premranjan was immediately arrested by the police.More Related News
