Arsenal have sacked captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang following a disciplinary breach and the decision has been taken in the best interests of the club, manager Mikel Arteta said on Tuesday.
Aubameyang, Arsenal's highest-paid player, was also told he would not be considered for selection for the English Premier League game against West Ham on Wednesday.
