A BJP worker has accused the ruling TMC in West Bengal of thrashing him and his mother at their home in North 24 Parganas. Now, a relative of the man has claimed that the son used to regularly beat up his mother.
In a twist in the BJP-TMC political slugfest over the attack on a saffron party worker and his 85-year-old mother, a relative of the man has claimed that the elderly woman used to be regularly beaten up by the son. The elderly woman, Shova Majumdar, and her son, Gopal Majumdar, were allegedly thrashed by miscreants who barged into their house in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district on Saturday. Gopal Majumder has claimed that he was thrashed because he is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and that he suspects TMC workers to be behind the attack. Gopal Majumdar said three masked miscreants barged into his house and thrashed him and his mother on Saturday. Although he could not identify the miscreants, Gopal said that he suspects the attackers were from the ruling TMC as they ‘abused him for being a BJP worker’.More Related News
