
At Meeting With Lalu Yadav, Nitish Kumar, Sonia Gandhi's Big Suggestion

"We met Sonia Gandhi and talked about opposition unity to defeat the BJP in 2024. She said we will meet with us again after the Congress presidential polls," Lalu Yadav told reporters after the meet.
Congress chief Sonia Gandhi today asked Bihar allies -- Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Yadav -- to take forward the opposition unity project after the internal elections of the Congress. The two leaders, she suggested, must meet the new Congress president and decide.
"We met Sonia Gandhi and talked about opposition unity to defeat the BJP in 2024. She said we will meet with us again after the Congress presidential polls," Lalu Yadav told reporters after the meet.
"Without the Congress, there is no alliance and they have been in the forefront of fighting the BJP," Mr Yadav said.
