At Emmanuel Macron's request, Russia to open evacuation corridors in Ukraine

It has been reported that the ceasefire and the corridors, which will be opened from the cities of Kharkiv, Mariupol and Sumy, are being set up at a personal request from French President Emmanuel Macron.
New Delhi: The Russian defence ministry announced that their troops will assume a ceasefire from 7:00 GMT on Monday in several cities of Ukraine to open a humanitarian corridor for the safe evacuation of civilians.
“Russian military will hold fire and open humanitarian corridors in several Ukrainian cities including the capital Kyiv at 1000 Moscow time (0700 GMT) on Monday,” Russia`s defence ministry statement read.
It has been reported that the ceasefire and the corridors, which will be opened from the cities of Kharkiv, Mariupol and Sumy, are being set up at the personal request of French President Emmanuel Macron.
According to maps published by the RIA news agency, the corridor from Kyiv will lead to Belarus, and civilians from Kharkiv will only have a corridor leading to Russia.
Corridors from Mariupol and Sumy will lead both to other Ukrainian cities and to Russia.
