Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs affirms Qatar's commitment to support least developed countries

Doha: Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, affirmed the State of Qatar's commitment to work with its full force to support the least developed countries (LDC's) in implementing an ambitious, comprehensive and forward-looking program of work supporting human dignity and achieving sustainable development goals.
This came in her Excellencys speech during the virtual event on the sidelines of the 2021 High-level Political Forum (HLPF), under the theme 'Building back better to realize the SDGs in LDCs: Accelerating action to achieve inclusive, sustainable, resilient recovery - approaches on the road to the LDC5 conference in Doha'. Her Excellency said: "I greet you from Qatar, the host country of the upcoming 5th United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries, in which a new program of work for the decade 2021-2030 will be adopted, an occasion that provides an ideal opportunity to stimulate transformation measures to overcome the challenges faced by the least developed and Landlocked Developing Countries by 2030, it is the year in which we committed ourselves to deliver on our promise to achieve all the Sustainable Development Goals."More Related News
