Assam villagers have donated around 33 acres of community land to create separate food zones for wild elephants and subsequently, reduce human-elephant conflict.
At least 700 villagers in Assam’s Nagaon district have donated around 33 acres of community land for the wild elephants for the third consecutive year. The jumbos often come down the hills of the adjoining Karbi Anglong district. These farmers hail from the Ronghang and Hatikhali area in Nagaon and have donated their lands to create separate food zones for wild jumbos and subsequently, reduce human-elephant conflicts.More Related News
