Assam spinner who bowled to Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, forced to sell tea from roadside stall

Prakash Bhagat bowled to the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman at the NCA in Bengaluru and played for Assam in the Ranji Trophy.
Prakash Bhagat, a left-arm spinner from Assam who once shared the National Cricket Academy (NCA) with the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman, has now been forced to sell tea and dal puri from a roadside stall to support his economically poor family. Bhagat took seven wickets, including a hat-trick, against Bihar in the under-17 Vijay Merchant trophy match and also represented Assam in Ranji Trophy. The 34-year-old is a resident of Itakhola area in Silchar town, situated in Assam's Cachar district. He sits with his mother every day and sells tea and fast food.More Related News
