Poachers have killed a one-horned rhino in Assam’s Kaziranga National Park (KNP) and chopped off its horn. It is the first poaching incident in the world heritage site this year. The incident came to light on Tuesday when the forest officials found a carcass of a rhino near Xilekhunda beel of Hanuman forest camp under Kohora range of the park. It is suspected that poachers had killed the male rhino three-four days before and chopped off its horn. The poachers then fled with the horn.More Related News
