The firing on July 26 has triggered a sense of fear among the people, particularly at the border area. In Lailapur, many of those who are living on the hills have already left for secured places.
Days after inter-state violence broke out at Lailapur in Cachar district along the Assam-Mizoram border, the Assam government has issued an advisory asking people not to travel to Mizoram. "Given the critical situation, the people of Assam are advised not to travel to Mizoram as any threat to the personal safety of people of Assam cannot be accepted," the advisory issued by the state's home department states.More Related News
