
Assam govt to sign MoU with NESAC for utilizing space data in detecting encroachments, compiling epidemic data

Assam government will sign an MoU with North East Space Applications Centre (NESAC) for utilizing its services in detecting encroachments, predicting natural disasters, compiling epidemic data, etc. Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said that the state government will soon sign an MoU with North East Space Applications Centre (NESAC). “After signing the MoU, we will be able to get space data from NESAC. They can predict natural disasters also. As an example, they will give us space data of how much has an embankment breached after the flood through satellite. Not only this, we will be able to get space data about encroachments in bordering areas, forest lands through satellite images,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.More Related News
