Assam govt relaxes night curfew timings for Bhogali Bihu celebrations

The Assam government has announced a partial relaxation of the night curfew in view of Bhogali Bihu. Night curfew timings will be from 11 pm on January 13 to 4 am on January 14.After the celebrations, the actual night curfew timings will be between 10 pm to 6 am until further orders, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) said in an order."All Deputy Commissioners and Superintendent of Police are to ensure enforcement of night curfew," the order stated.Meanwhile, Assam on Wednesday reported 3,274 new Covid-19 cases, four deaths and 731 recoveries. The tally of active cases stands at 11,792 while the positivity rate is 6.56 per cent.
