Even as the flood situation in Assam continued to improve on Monday, over 3.79 lakh people across 10 districts still remained affected, the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) daily flood report stated.
As many as 3,79,238 people of 416 villages in 10 districts are now affected, while 5.39 lakh people in 10 districts were hit by the calamity on Sunday.
With no fresh report of any deaths, the total number of persons losing lives in both the wave of floods across the state this year stands at 192, including 19 in landslides.

Cachar is the worst-hit district with 2.08 lakh people reeling under the floods, followed by Morigaon (1,41,712) and Nagaon (24,525), the report stated.
The authorities are running 95 relief camps in Bajali, Biswanath, Cachar, Chirang, Dima Hasao, Kamrup, Morigaon and Tamulpur districts, where 20,964 people, including 5,515 children, have taken shelter.
Crops on 5,431.2 hectares and 99,654 domesticated animals have also been affected, the ASDMA report stated.
