Ace spinner Rashid Khan will be in focus when Afghanistan take field in the opener of Asia Cup on Saturday, 27 August.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan compared the abilities of Virat Kohli and Babar Azam ahead of the Asia Cup. The focus has been on the two batters ahead of the high-octane clash between India and Pakistan on 28 August and having been on the field against the two multiple times, Rashid was asked about who among the two is tougher to bowl at.
"For me, both (Virat and Babar) are equally tough to bowl. The type of batters they are, they won't spare a lose delivery. So, for me, both are tough to bowl to, but I enjoy the challenge. There is no chance that I will bowl a loose ball to both of them. I will focus on bowling in the right areas but both are tough to bowl at," Rashid said in a YouTube interaction with Sawera Pasha.
The spinner further added that it is a great learning curve for him as the duo are right at the top of international cricket.
"Bowling to Babar and Virat is fun and it has also been a great learning curve for me. For example, when I used to bowl to Kane Williamson at SRH, we had a lot of chat afterwards about my bowling. So, his output helped me a lot. I also had discussions with Virat in IPL, and the same goes with Babar too," he added.
India are set to face Pakistan on 28 August, in what is expected to be a fiery clash as the two meet up for the first time after the T20 World Cup. Babar Azam will be leading the Pakistan side, while India will be under the command of Rohit Sharma. Both teams have respective injuries with Shaheen Afridi and Jasprit Bumrah getting ruled out of their respective teams.
