Asia Cup 2022, Match 2, India vs Pakistan Probable XIs: Chance for India to use Arshdeep Singh as a trump card

Asia Cup 2022, Match 2, IND vs PAK: India and Pakistan are scheduled to lock horns on Sunday, August 28 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India and Pakistan are set to lock horns in Match No.2 of Asia Cup 2022 on Sunday, August 28 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Last year when the T20 World Cup match between the two teams took place, it was Shaheen Shah Afridi who played a major part in Pakistan winning. The left-armer made the initial breakthroughs and pushed the Men in Blue on the backfoot.
This time around, Pakistan don’t have any Shaheen or any left-arm pacer in the squad. The upcoming match is scheduled to take place on the same track where Afghanistan and Sri Lanka locked horns on Saturday, August 27.
It’s pertinent to note that it was Fazalhaq Farooqi, who won the Player of the Match award, in the curtain raiser after he picked up a three-wicket haul. Hence, not having a left-armer could go against Babar Azam’s Pakistan.
However, India do have a left-arm pacer, an efficient left-armer, who can not only keep a lid on runs, but pick up wickets on a consistent basis. Arshdeep Singh may turn out to be India’s unlikely hero on Super Sunday if utilised properly.
If Arshdeep can remove Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan early, Pakistan could find themselves in dire straits very soon.
