Students of the Ashoka University in Sonipat have announced a two-day boycott of classes from Monday in protest over the resignations of faculty members Pratap Bhanu Mehta and Arvind Subramanian. Earlier, noted political commentator Pratap Bhanu Mehta resigned as the professor at the Ashoka University saying that the founders made it "abundantly clear" that his association with the institution was a "political liability". In July 2019, PB Mehta had resigned as vice-chancellor of Ashoka University. However, he continued to teach there. Following Mehta's resignation, former Chief Economic Advisor (CEA) Arvind Subramanian also resigned from the university in solidarity with Pratap Bhanu Mehta.More Related News
