India Today
Travis Head smashed a T20-style century to put Australia firmly in control of the first Ashes Test on Thursday as England were hit by an injury crisis during a miserable day two in the field at the Gabba in Brisbane.
Australia opener David Warner heaped praise on teammate Travis Head, who hit a hundred after two years to help the hosts dominate England on Day 2 of the second Test in Brisbane on Thursday.
Head remained unbeaten on 112 along with Mitchell Starc on 10* as Australia took a first innings lead of 196 by the close of play after reaching 343 for 7 at stumps. Head's hundred was his third in the format and first since December 2019.
