Ashes: More trouble for England as Joe Root's men docked 3 more WTC points for slow over-rate in 1st Test

England have lost a total of 10 points due to slow over-rate in the new World Test Championship cycle. Joe Root's men are reeling at the 7th spot in the 8-team points table.

England have been dealt another big blow as they were penalized 3 more World Test Championship points to go with the initial 5 points that were deducted from their tally for slow over-rate in the first Ashes Test against Australia at the Gabba in Brisbane.

Last Saturday, it was announced that England would be docked five WTC points, one for each over they were found to initially have fallen short by. However, it has since emerged they were eight overs short, and will therefore lose three additional points, according to the iCC.
