The Joe Root brigade could only manage to score 185 runs in the first innings before being skittled out for a mere 68 runs in the second. A dismal performance by the visitors saw them losing the contest by an innings and 14 runs as Australia romped to an unassailable 3-0 lead, eventually securing the urn.
