England all-rounder Ben Stokes suffered an injury scare on Day 2 of the first Ashes Test against Australia while fielding a ball at the Gabba on Thursday. Stokes looked to be in discomfort after chasing a ball to the boundary ropes in the 29th over after which he struggled throughout the rest of the day.
Stokes bowled just 9 overs in the day's play which included 5 in the first session and 4 throughout the rest of the day. The star player was on a break from all cricket since July to focus on his mental health and only returned to the side for this month's Ashes series.
