Marnus Labuschagne paid tribute to stand-in skipper Steve Smith for leading Australia by example in the absence of Pat Cummins in the second Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval.

Australia batsman Marnus Labuschagne on Friday praised stand-in skipper Steve Smith's leadership in the ongoing second Ashes Test against England Pat Cummins got ruled out due to a Covid-19 scare.

Smith returned to captain Australia for the first time in over 3 years after Cummins was deemed a close contact of a Covid-19 case, just before the start of the Adelaide Test.
