Ashamed, says MP as 6 men look for Noida woman assaulted by ‘BJP leader’

On Sunday, atleast 6 men entered the Grand Omaxe society in Noida and allegedly started asking about the address of the woman who was mishandled by Shrikant Tyagi.
Days after Shrikant Tyagi was booked for hurling abuse and assaulting a woman in Noida, his relatives on Sunday allegedly tried to seek address of the victim. Shrikant Tyagi identified himself as a BJP leader on social media, a claim that was later denied by the saffron party following the incident.
On Sunday, 6-7 men entered the Grand Omaxe society in Sector-93B in Noida and allegedly started asking about the address of the woman who was mishandled by Shrikant Tyagi.The residents refused to divulge the information and detained the men. Following the ruckus, the police team reached the spot and took charge of the detained men.
As the matter escalated, BJP MP Mahesh Sharma reached the Noida society.
BJP leader Mahesh Sharma said, “I am ashamed about what happened today. I request Union home Minister Amit Shah and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to initiate action against the officials over delay in catching Tyagi.”
POLICE TRYING TO NAB ABSCONDING ACCUSED
The Noida Police has registered an FIR in connection with the case and IS trying to nab the accused. The police also questioned Shrikant Tyagi’s wife on Sunday in connection with the case.
Speaking to India today, a senior police officer said that the men who were detained on Sunday are relatives of the wife of Shrikant Tyagi.
