Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan has been given a clean chit in the drugs-on-cruise case. The NCB has not named Aryan Khan in their exhaustive chargesheet.
Aryan Khan has been given a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in the Cordelia cruise drugs case. He has not been named in the chargesheet filed by the agency in the case along with five others.
Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was arrested in connection with the Mumbai cruise drugs case early in October. After several court hearings, lots of drama, and 26 long days in custody later, the Bombay High Court granted him bail on October 28. He finally walked out of jail on October 30. There were 10 volumes of the chargesheet which was submitted in spiral bound to the registry.
-October 3, 2021: After a raid on Cordelia Cruz, the NCB Mumbai arrested Aryan Khan along with his friend. There were no drugs found with Aryan, but NCB claimed that he was involved in a drug racket.
-October 16, 2021: NCP Nawab Malik made a back-to-back expose in the case. He alleged that the arrest of Aryan Khan was a conspiracy by the zonal director Sameer Wankhede.
-October 28, 2021: After Malik’s expose, Kiran Gosavi, a panch witness in the case, was arrested by Pune police. Gosavi had allegedly asked for ransom from SRK’s manager for the release of Aryan on the night of Aryan’s arrest.
-October 24, 2021: Prabhakar Sail, another panch in the case and driver of Gosavi, claimed that there was a plan to extort 50 crore after Aryan’s arrest.
-November 2021: Due to continuous allegations, NCB formed a vigilance team to investigate corruption allegations against Mumbai NCB. Six cases pertaining to celebrities was transferred to a special investigation team from Delhi.
