Aryan Khan clean chit: NCB probe flags key info that showed SRK's son not involved in drugs case

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was given a clean chit by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday. The statements given by Arbaaz Merchantt, who was also arrested in the cruise drug bust case, revealed that Aryan Khan did not have drugs on him and had infact asked Arbaaz not to carry any either.
More than seven months after Aryan Khan was arrested in connection with the Cordelia cruise drug bust case, a Special Investigation Team of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) gave him a clean chit on Friday, May 27. While the NCB SIT cited “procedural lapse” in the case as it dropped charges against Aryan Khan, the statements given by Arbaaz Merchantt, who was also arrested in connection with the case, had repeatedly denied any involvement of Aryan Khan.
The NCB SIT’s chargesheet elaborates that when the officials, led by then Mumbai Zonal director Sameer Wankhede, reached the International drug cruise terminal, they saw Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchantt entering the terminal. Both Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchantt were arrested by the NCB on October 3, 2021.
When Arbaaz Merchantt was questioned by the NCB, he had allegedly admitted that he was carrying charas for his consumption. He had also specifically mentioned that Aryan had asked him not to carry drugs to the cruise.
