Artemi Panarin accused of sexual assault by Rangers employee in settled complaint
NY Post
Rangers forward Artemi Panarin and MSG, the company that owns the team, paid financial settlements to a female team employee last August after she alleged Panarin sexually assaulted her in a hotel room in 2023, according to The Athletic.
The woman, who was not identified in the report, reached agreements with Panarin and MSG Sports, which included non-disclosure and no admission of wrongdoing clauses, and then left the company.
A spokesperson for MSG told The Post, “The matter has been resolved.”
The woman also said, “The matter has been resolved,” according to The Athletic.
Rangers coach Peter Laviolette would not say Thursday whether Panarin would play in the season-finale at home against the Lightning later in the night and referred to MSG’s comments regarding the situation.
The alleged assault took placed in December 2023 during a Rangers road trip, two team sources told the outlet.

The old genius had finally gotten one move ahead of himself. That seemed clear. There were eight games left in the hockey season. The Devils, veteran team, were already inside the bracket, comfortably, on the way to 102 points. They’d been mailing it in lately, more a reflection of the time in the schedule than any lack of talent.
