The Indian Army has ordered a CBI probe against a doctor posted at Hisar military station for indulging in corrupt practices while carrying out medical tests of freshly recruited jawans, government sources told India Today. Sources said 40-42 per cent of the jawans were being asked to undergo a medical review board to get cleared for joining the forces after failing the first test. They said the jawans were being failed in the initial test due to filmsy reasons like defect in the nose bone and were made to undergo surgical procedures suggested by touts. The drive against corrupt practices in recruitment of officers and jawans in the Army comes after Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat instructed all senior officers that anybody indulging in moral turpitude and financial misappropriation should not go unpunished.More Related News
