Archana Puran Singh revealed how she had to put up a brave front on Comedy Circus. This was after Archana learnt about her mother-in-law's demise.
After The Kapil Sharma Show, Archana Puran Singh is back with a new venture. The actress is co-judging India's Laughter Champion with Shekhar Suman. In a recent interview, Archana Puran Singh revealed how artists have to keep their grief aside and perform despite going through personal loss. Going down memory lane, the actress recalled how she had to laugh at gags on Comedy Circus even after learning about her mother-in-law's demise.
Recalling the 'traumatic time' when she had to laugh at gags on the show, Archan Puran Singh narrated the entire incident.
"I was very close to my mother-in-law, she was in the hospital and I reached the sets and half way through the episode I came to know that she had passed away. I got a call and I told the production house that I had to go. The production house asked me to give the reactions and go. The reactions were laughter and I gave general comments. I still can’t forget I was sitting there laughing and laughing and I was blank in the head. All I could think of was seeing my mother-in-law’s face. It was a traumatic time," Archana told The Times Of India.
The senior actress further recalled another incident when her 13-year-old son broke his leg while playing football in England. Although she was worried, Archana had to put up a brave front, smile and give comments on the contestant's performances. She mentioned that from inside she was crying but she couldn't show it on her face. "I have gone through difficult times," she added.
