Arab Shooting Championships: Qatar clinch sixth medal

Team Qatar yesterday bagged sixth medal at the Arab Shooting Championships, with the trio of Saeed Abu Shareb, Nasser Al Hamidi and Rashid Al Athba clinching the bronze in the trap team event. At the Olympic Shooting Center in Maadi, near Cairo, the Qatari shooters shared the podium with gold winners Egypt and silver medallists Kuwait.
Al Athba, who also won the silver in the individual skeet and was part of the gold winning mixed skeet and bronze winning skeet teams, yesterday noted that yesterday's contest was a difficult one "The experience we gained during the events at Lusail Range helped us achieve success in the tough competition," Al Athba said. Earlier, during the Championships, Al Athba and compatriot Reem Al Sharshani clinched the victory in the mixed skeet event. Al Athba, Masoud Saleh Al Athba and Ali Al Ishaq had won the bronze medal in the men’s team skeet event.More Related News
