The University of Madras has called for applications under its free education scheme for the academic year 2025-26 in aided and self-financing colleges affiliated to the institution.
Candidates from economically backward families, orphans, children of widows, first graduates of a family, and transpersons will be given preference. The annual income of the family should not exceed ₹3 lakh.
The details and documents for the scheme are available on the university website www.unom.ac.in. Aspirants must upload their application with the necessary documents on the university website within 15 days of the publication of Class 12 results. Only online applications with all scanned copies duly uploaded will be accepted, according to a release from the university’s Registrar.
