Apologise or else…: Nupur Sharma granted security cover amid threat from terror group
India Today
Amid threats of dire consequences by terror outfit Mujahideen Ghazwatul Hind, Delhi Police have granted security cover to beleaguered BJP leader Nupur Sharma and her family.
Terror outfit Mujahideen Ghazwatul Hind has threatened BJP leader Nupur Sharma with dire consequences unless she tenders an unconditional apology for her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammad.
“We instruct Nupur Sharma to take back her statement and apologise to the whole world, otherwise we will do what is done to those who dare to insult the Prophet,” Mujahideen Ghazwatul Hind said in a statement posted on Telegram.
The militant group, which is active in Kashmir and purportedly planted an IED in Delhi’s Ghazipur flower market in January this year, accused Nupur Sharma and the BJP of hypocrisy and promoting anti-Muslim sentiment.
“Nupur Sharma first insulted the Prophet and is now apologising. The BJP is tricking people by using ‘Chanakya Neeti’ and adopting double standards. BJP leaders have consistently issued anti-Muslim statements. The RSS, Ram Sena, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena continuously deliver hate speech against Islam and Muslims,” it stated.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Police have provided security cover to Nupur Sharma and her family members after she complained of harassment and death threats in the wake of her controversial remarks on Islam.
A former spokesperson of the BJP, Nupur Sharma is in the line of fire after she allegedly made derogatory comments about Prophet Muhammad during a TV news debate. The remarks stoked a massive row and cases were registered against her for hurting religious sentiments.
