Apollo ProHealth and The Hindu collaborate to provide reliable health information through 'Sincerely, Your Doctor' initiative, empowering informed decisions.
In today’s world, lifestyle diseases or non-communicable diseases, are on the rise, making access to accurate health information crucial. Misconceptions and lack of credible sources hinder people from making informed health decisions.
To address this, Apollo ProHealth and The Hindu have launched ‘Sincerely, Your Doctor’, a year-long initiative aimed at providing reliable information on health. This collaboration brings together Apollo Hospitals’ top doctors and The Hindu to offer science-backed insights on critical health topics such as gut health, heart health, mental well-being, cancer prevention, and stress management.
Each month, the initiative will deliver articles with actionable advice and emerging healthcare trends, empowering readers to make informed, proactive health decisions and embrace preventative care in their daily lives.
Srinidhi Chidambaram, head of health communications at Apollo Hospitals, said that preventive healthcare is essential for a healthier society. “This series will help readers separate fact from fiction, make informed decisions and embed preventive care into daily life.”
Shreevidya V., medical director of preventive health services at Apollo, emphasised that early awareness can prevent lifestyle diseases.
Suresh Balakrishna, chief revenue officer of The Hindu Group, added that the collaboration aims to empower audiences with trusted health insights, inspiring informed choices for a healthier future through credible journalism and expert healthcare.
Ramya Kannan, health editor of The Hindu, says, “Getting to the root of the issue before it becomes a problem is at the heart of preventive healthcare. In a country where the number of people with non-communicable diseases is growing, sending out messages that will help people prevent the onset of health complications must be counted as a nation-building activity. That is what The Hindu’s campaign with Apollo Hospitals aims to achieve.”

Though the sea turtles take abundant precaution in choosing their nesting sites by arriving on beaches during full moon high-tides and digging nests for a depth of up to 1.5 ft as far as away from the high-tide line, eggs so laid are often devoured by predators, including stray dogs. And sometimes by human beings too.

Every year, Ranga Shankara marks Ugadi with a special event called ‘Ranga Yugadi’, that celebrates the literary richness of Karnataka. As Ugadi symbolises new beginnings and the harvest festival, the theater space aims to harvest the region’s literary wealth by curating performances and readings that showcase powerful storytelling. Ranga Yugadi has been celebrated by the space for more than a decade now, and this tradition continues in 2025 with a programme called Kathaa Kaala, on April 6.
