Roya Rahmani, who served as the first female Afghanistan ambassador to the United States until last month, said Sunday that Afghan women are "in a state of panic" over what their fate will entail once the U.S. completes its withdrawal. Reports on the ground paint a dire picture for Afghan women, who have generally enjoyed basic freedoms like education and employment in the 20 years since the Taliban's ouster by U.S.-led forces.More Related News
