Anushka Sharma has started shooting for Chakda Xpress. The actress feels like it is her first film as she shoots for the movie.
Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is all set to return to movies with Chakda Xpress. The actress had taken a considerable amount of gap after the debacle of Zero. Anushka will be seen essaying the role of Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami in the film, which will release on Netflix. The actress started working on the film in February and she is currently shooting Chakda Xpress in Mumbai. As she shoots for the film, Anushka feels like she is shooting her first film.
Speaking about Chakda Xpress, Anushka told MidDay, "It feels like my first film again. Unfortunately, the pandemic kept me from returning to the movies, even though I was itching to start filming." After she wraps up the Mumbai schedule, the actress and the film's crew are expected to fly to the UK for an extensive schedule.
The actress further added, "It is a fact that women have to go that extra mile to earn their place in this patriarchal world. Jhulan Goswami’s life is testimony to the fact that she carved her own destiny, and fought for every inch of the spotlight and recognition. I hope that I can do justice to the script."
Work-wise, Chakda Xpress will mark Anushka's return to films after nearly five years. The film is scheduled for release on Netflix in 2023. Her last theatrical release was Zero with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Unfortunately, the film tanked at the box office. The actress had earlier worked with SRK and Katrina in Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
