Anushka Sharma, who turned a year older on Saturday, didn't celebrate her birthday amid the rising cases of Covid-19 in India
"It just did not feel right to celebrate my birthday," Anushka Sharma, who turned 33 on Saturday, said in her latest video on Instagram. On Sunday evening, the actress posted the clip on the platform in which she can be heard saying thank-you to her well-wishers. Overwhelmed Anushka said that their birthday wishes "truly made her day special." In the video, the actress then revealed the reason for not celebrating her birthday amid the coronavirus pandemic. "But in the midst of all this pain and suffering, it just did not feel right to celebrate my birthday (sic)," Anushka can be heard saying in the video. Addressing her fans, Anushka then acknowledged all their birthday-special messages. The Jab Tak Hai Jaan actress added that she has an "important message" for them. Anushka appealed to everyone to "unite and support India in this hour of crisis" as the Covid-19 cases continue to rise in the nation. "I would like to appeal to everyone to unite and support our country in this hour of crisis. Virat and I are coming together to do our bit. We will share the details soon so that you can also become part of this movement," she said in the clip. "Remember we are all in this together. Guys, please stay safe and take care of yourself.
