Anthony Weiner’s former sexting partner Sydney Leathers, who has been earning money on OnlyFans since 2017, tells us she’s going to stay on the site even though it threatened to ban porn. But she says that she and fellow performers are still scared that OnlyFans will change its mind again and they’ll have their “livelihood ripped out from under” them.
This week the platform — which has more than 130 million users and is used mostly for X-rated content along with more PG-rated fare from celebs like Bella Thorne, Cardi B, and Michael B. Jordan — announced that it would begin to ban porn in October in "to comply with the requests of our banking partners and payout providers." The company then reversed its decision after an outcry from the site’s performers, saying, "Thank you to everyone for making your voices heard. We have secured assurances necessary to support our diverse creator community and have suspended the planned October 1 policy change."
