Antacids seized from KK's hotel room in Kolkata: Sources

Sources in the Kolkata Police said on Thursday that antacids were seized from singer KK's hotel room in Kolkata. The singer died on May 31 a little while after performing at a concert.
Singer KK collapsed at the Oberoi Grand hotel in Kolkata after returning from a show on Tuesday night and was declared dead shortly thereafter at a private hospital, leaving his family, friends and fans heartbroken. He was only 53 years old.
On Thursday, sources in the Kolkata Police said that strips of antacids were seized from his hotel room. Antacids are medicines that counteract the acid in your stomach to relieve indigestion and heartburn.
A preliminary post-mortem report has revealed that KK died due to a massive heart attack, sources said. In its preliminary report to the Kolkata Police, SSKM Hospital mentioned that the singer died due to 'myocardial infarction' commonly known as heart attack.
The preliminary report indicated nothing "unnatural as far as death is concerned".
Earlier, the Kolkata Police had registered an unnatural death case over the death of the singer. According to police sources, his face and head bore injuries.
The popular singer was cremated in Mumbai on Thursday, June 2. His last rites were held in the presence of close family members and friends at Versova Hindu cremation ground.
Earlier, in Kolkata, his body was honoured with a gun salute at Rabindra Sadan. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was also present at Sadan to pay her last respects. KK's family took his mortal remains via a flight to Mumbai on June 1.
