Annual general meeting of Chennai Rifle Club held

Chennai Rifle Club's annual meeting chaired by Police Commissioner A. Arun to discuss growth and support for shooting sport.
Greater Chennai Police Commissioner and president of the Chennai Rifle Club (CHRC) A. Arun chaired the club’s annual general meeting on Saturday. The club was formed in 1952 to instil the spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and self-defence in the city. It celebrated its Golden Jubilee in 2003. Additional Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Kapilkumar C. Saratkar, who is also the club’s vice-president, K. Rajsekar, its honorary secretary, and other office-bearers participated in the meeting. Mr. Arun assured the members of his support for the growth of the shooting sport. They also discussed increasing the membership from the present 500 to 1,000. The Police Commissioner also felicitated club members who won medals in various the competitions.
