Anil Kapoor’s debut film, Hamare Tumhare, turned 43 today, January 26. The actor marked the day with a special post.
It’s been 43 years since Anil Kapoor’s debut film, Hamare Tumhare, was released. To mark the very special occasion, the 65-year-old actor took to Instagram and thanked the audience and God. Directed by Umesh Mehra, the film also starred Sanjeev Kumar, Raakhee, Amjad Khan, Mehmood and Asrani, among others.
Anil Kapoor often shares lovely posts for his family members. But today, January 26, he recounted his Bollywood journey as his very first film, Hamare Tumhare, turned 43. His caption roughly translates to: “Sometimes we need to remind ourselves from where our journey began, so that the feet remain on the ground the spirit keeps touching the sky.” He added, “43 years of Humaare Tumhare My first film. Thank you audience. Thank you god (sic).”
Anil Kapoor will be seen next in Raj Mehta’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo. The film also stars Neetu Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Varun Dhawan. Announcing its release date with striking photos, Anil wrote, “Join us as we celebrate...FAMILY! #JugJuggJeeyo coming to cinemas near you on 24th June, 2022 (sic).”
Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone welcomed Anil Kapoor to Fighter team on his birthday, December 24. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, it will be Bollywood's first action franchise. Anil also has Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal in the pipeline. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film will hit the theatres on August 11, 2023.
