Angelina Jolie debuts on Instagram; goes viral after sharing letter from Afghan teen

Doha: Angelina Jolie opened her Instagram account on Friday with a letter from a teenage girl in Afghanistan. 

Hollywood's acclaimed actress who is known for her humanitarian work came on Instagram to share the voice of those across the globe who are fighting for basic human rights.  "Right now, the people of Afghanistan are losing their ability to communicate on social media and to express themselves freely... So I've come on Instagram to share their stories and the voices of those across the globe who are fighting for their basic human rights," Jolie wrote in the caption of her first post. The post A Letter From An Afghan Girl is a handwritten note from a teenage girl in the now-Taliban ruled Afghanistan.
